Our Story
It started with one mountain
Karanfil Tours began in 2010 when our founder, a Moshi-born mountain guide, grew tired of watching visitors rushed up Kilimanjaro on routes built for turnover, not for people. He believed a trip could be both unforgettable and fair — to the traveller and to the guide.
Fifteen years on, we've guided over twelve thousand travellers across summit, savanna and sea. We're still locally owned, still led by guides who grew up here, and still convinced that the best journeys are the ones shaped around the person taking them.
