Your Safety

Adventure and safety go hand in hand. Here is how we prepare, what we ask of you, and how we support you from the first day of planning to your return home.

This guidance is provided for general information and is pending review by qualified professionals. It does not replace advice from your doctor, insurer, or government travel authority.

Before you travel

Good trips begin with good preparation. We will send you a detailed pre-departure pack covering what to bring, seasonal conditions, and what to expect on each day of your itinerary.

Please share any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility needs when you book so we can plan an experience that is both safe and enjoyable for you.

Health and vaccinations

Certain vaccinations and malaria precautions are recommended for travel in Tanzania. Consult your doctor or a travel clinic well before departure for advice tailored to you.

Carry any personal medication in your hand luggage with a copy of the prescription, and bring enough for the whole journey.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of joining our tours. It should cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and — for high-altitude treks — cover appropriate to the altitude you will reach.

Please bring your policy number and your insurer's emergency contact with you.

On-tour conduct

Your guides are trained and experienced, and following their guidance is the single best way to stay safe. Stay with your group, keep to marked areas, and speak up early if you feel unwell.

Respect for local communities and fellow travellers makes the journey better for everyone.

Wildlife and environment

Tanzania's wildlife is wild and unpredictable. Always keep a safe distance, remain in the vehicle unless your guide says otherwise, and never feed or approach animals.

Help us protect these places by taking only photographs and leaving no trace behind.

Emergency support

Our team is reachable throughout your trip, and every itinerary includes clear emergency procedures and local contacts. In a serious emergency your guide will coordinate directly with local services.

For urgent assistance while travelling with us, call our office line at +255 000 000 000 or the number provided in your travel pack.
