Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the agreement between you and Karanfil Tours when you book a tour. Please read them carefully before confirming your journey.

This document is a template provided for illustration and is pending review by qualified legal counsel. It does not yet constitute binding terms of service.

Acceptance of terms

By requesting a quote, paying a deposit, or confirming a booking with Karanfil Tours, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party.

If you are booking for others, you confirm that you have their authority to accept these terms for them.

Bookings and quotes

A quote is valid for the period stated on it and is subject to availability at the time of confirmation. A booking is confirmed only once we have received your deposit and issued written confirmation.

You are responsible for checking that all names, dates, and details on your confirmation are correct and for telling us promptly if anything needs to change.

Payments

A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due before departure by the date shown on your confirmation. Prices are quoted in the currency stated and may be affected by exchange rates until fully paid.

Where a payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and to apply the cancellation terms below.

Cancellation and refunds

If you need to cancel, tell us in writing as early as possible. Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel and on non-recoverable costs already committed to hotels, parks, and partners.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, so that unexpected changes to your plans are protected.

Changes and force majeure

Occasionally we must adjust an itinerary for reasons such as weather, wildlife movements, park regulations, or safety. We will always aim to offer a comparable alternative of equal quality.

We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, or government action, but we will support you as much as we practically can.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any required visas, for meeting health and vaccination requirements, and for following the reasonable instructions of your guides.

Conduct that endangers others or seriously disrupts a trip may result in you being asked to leave the tour without refund.

Liability

We take great care in selecting our partners and operating our tours. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the services you booked with us.

We are not responsible for loss or injury arising from activities not arranged by us or from a traveller's failure to follow safety guidance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
